Ta Moko is a Traditional Maori Tattoo, it is traditionally performed with broad toothed combs (Uhi Tā Moko). In present day most Tā Moko artists use regular sterilised tattoo needles for the process. As tradition blends with the present, these symbols can be worn by all, ( Tā Moko for Maori, Kurituhi for all others) with special pride and personal meaning.
